Chapter 4 - Don't Live In An Odd Place

What is an odd place? An odd place is an incomplete place.

The Five Elements (metal, wood, water, fire and earth, held by the ancients to compose the physical universe) have their physical shapes:

Metal - a circle.

Wood - a rectangle.

Water - the shape of a broom.

Fire - an isosceles triangle.

Earth - a square.

In big cities, most of the odd pieces of land will assume the shape of triangle or of a broom. Neither of them is suitable for houses.

Triangle-shaped houses are difficult for partition. Broom-shaped houses are badly organized. Both types of houses make people feel uncomfortable. When choosing a piece of land for building a house, we should not fall for oddly shaped plots of land simply because they are cheap. Such places have various negative forces because of their strange shapes. Living there for a long time, the people will be affected by its shape, thus becoming "odd-shaped" themselves.

The shape of the house is very much like the appearance of people. A plot of land that is incomplete is like a deformed human body - a man without hands or feet, or without the nose or an ear.

If the place is in a triangle shape, the pointed tip is exposed to negative forces of fire and the sides on its right and left are exposed to negative forces of wind. A broom-shaped place has several protruding corners, which will either hurt the owner of the house or hurt other people. When buying a piece of land for building houses, you are advised to choose a square or a rectangle or a circle shape of land. Never fall for an odd, incomplete piece! Oddly shaped plots are all right for building shops on, but not houses!

Most of the plots with strange shapes have some protruding corners which possess terribly strong forces of their own. People who live in those places for a long time, are bound to be affected by the shape of the house and develop strong and strange character traits. Very often unexpected incidents happen to people in the house. This is because the negative forces are too strong and the magnetic field is strong but confused.

People living in a house with strong magnetic force will not feel secure. A strong magnetic field is all right with banks, hospitals, supermarkets and department stores, where, with so many people coming in and going out, the negative force can be made positive. Masters of geomancy who know what they are doing should be able to turn the negative forces into positive forces. They will make a lot more money that way.

If, the strong magnetic forces in those oddly shaped places are not made positive, they may attract heartless scoundrels who may rob the bank, stir up treatment trouble in a hospital, commit shop-lifting or blackmailing. These are exactly the things business people try their best to avoid. To be full of vitality is good luck while to be fraught with fire, murder and adultery cases is bad luck.

To make the negative forces positive is to bring about vitality.

To keep the negative forces negative is to incur fire, murder or adultery.

Masters of geomancy should be capable of directing the forces of the land.

I, Living Buddha Lian Shen, once studied a house on a plot of strange shape. The family in it had been very down on their luck, with five car accidents all together and everyone in the family suffering from serious nervousness. I immediately noticed that it was just the effect of the triangle shape of the ground.

The whole family were short-tempered. Husband and wife were quarreling all day long. Their children were either hooligans or prostitutes. Such eccentric behaviour was caused by the negative forces coming from the three sides of the triangle, "fire" from the pointed tip and "wind" from the right and left sides. For the house was located right in the middle of two crossing highways.

I noticed that their living-rooms all had a strange shape - some sort of triangles. I told the host, "Your daughters will all become concubines."

"You are quite right, Living Buddha Lian Shen."

"It's not that my divination is good, but that things are so obvious. It the living-room is not rightly shaped, the daughters will not get properly married but become concubines."

Strange enough, the man's two daughters were all carrying on with married men. They were very pretty actually, but they just wanted to be lovers of men with wives.

"What shall I do?" the man was worried.

"This place is not suitable. I'm afraid you have to move. Turn this place into a department store. Find a quiet house and things will become normal."

I, Living Buddha Lian Shen, hold that people are advised to leave oddly-shaped places alone. Their "floating" forces and extreme shapes often contain "violence" and "confusion". Even if department stores are to be built there, masters of geomancy should be consulted in order to make the negative forces positive.

Those violent and confusing forces should not be dealt with lightly. If they are not properly controlled, they become even more violent. It makes people tremble with fear just to imagine living in those houses!
