Chapter 31 - Land Features For Twins
A couple from Vancouver, Canada, came to visit me. They have taken
refuge in me. Young and intelligent, they are editors in chief for
the monthly Bodhi True Buddha.
They are Zhao Shaodong and his wife. Zhao is handsome and his wife
is charming, a rare couple of believers in Buddhism. They both are
talented linguists, speaking English, Chinese and Cantonese.
They said, "we have one request to make, Grandmaster."
"What is it ?"
"We'd like to have twins," they replied, both kneeling
down.
"Why twins? What for?" I was puzzled.
"We feel that studying and practising Buddhism is very important.
Life is short. If we give birth to one child after another, it is
time consuming to raise the children. If we give birth to twins,
we finish nursing two children at the same time. We won't have any
more children after that. We can save a lot of time that way, time
that will be used for the study of Buddhism. This is our wish. We
sincerely hope that Grandmaster will help us."
On hearing this, I smiled without my knowing. Then I said, "I
shall give you reinforcement and pray for you before the Buddha.
I hope you will get twins."
I did give this couple reinforcement. I felt that they were very
devoted believers of wonderful character and would be pillars of
the True Buddha School!
The Zhaos' request for twins reminded me of some interesting story
in my geomancy experience.
It took place in a small village in Gao Xiong County. Out of the
eighteen families in the village, eight had twins. Why did they
all have twins?
The township people were mystified!
The learned were also puzzled!
The local people themselves were also baffled!
So the village people came to me for help. I visited the place
and found that the twins had to do with the land features there.
Standing at the entrance of the main street, I could see two mountains
in the shape of a pyramid, exactly like two breasts or two bellies.
The front mountain is connected with the one behind. When I set
the compass, it turned out to be "menstruation greeting the
twin mountains".
It should be remembered that the twin mountains are like twin breasts
and now menstruation greets the breasts - the result is twin births.
Besides, if the door of the hall faces directly a "fire star
mountain" and two little streams flow around the house, it
is also a sign of twin births.
There is verse in A Book of Secrets on Land Spirits which reads:
What are the reasons for twin births?
Solely because two vitality forces are opposite the main hall.
Examination of the land spirits of the nearby mountains and
rivers,
The most reasonable judgment will be obtained.
There are also cases where some people gave one twin birth followed
by a single birth. Why is that ? Why not twins for every birth?
This has to do with the "operation of vitality forces".
In places that produce twin births, the forces of the land spirits
are sometimes "in operation" and sometimes are "out
of operation".
Besides, the direction of the main gate is also important. Whether
the gate faces the twin mountains or "fire star mountain"
exactly or not so precisely also has not influence. This accounts
for the fact that in the village where most people have twins, there
are people only give single births. It is not the case that once
the necessary features are there, every woman gives twin births
all her life.
Land features for large families include:
Gold stars shining upon the house from all directions.
A land that rises and falls. Active land spirits are like expressive
facial features. The dragon side and the tiger side form an enclosure
upon the house.
The open ground is spacious, with both sides energetic.
Land features for small families include:
-
The land is too flat, with no vitality.
-
A river washes the middle of the house.
-
The house is situated before or behind a temple.
There is verse that reads like this:
Strong winds blow away all children
Fire, marshes and isolated hills cause miscarriages.
If the land is close marshy areas,
The couple will definitely live alone.
This is sterility.
In sum, geomancy is a wonderful subject. It is fascinating to dig
deep into it.
