Excerpt Of the The Han-Creek Deva

A group of students often used an ouija board to receive spiritualistic and telepathic messages. Through the ouija board, they would ask for the presence of Gods, spirit of their ancestors and Jesus to descend to communicate with them.

Even though one can communicate with the spirits using the board, however, one has to be very careful, as it is very dangerous.

Among the spirits that had come forward, there was one who called herself Han-Creek Deva ? She was very good with poetry and therefore often gave her answers in the form of poems.

For example, among the group of students, there was a guy who was interested in one of his classmates. He asked the Deva whether there would be any chance of marriage between him and the girl.

The Han-Creek Deva gave the following answer:

Falling in love desperately,
but can only passionately look at the narrow window?
When they set forth for their future
they will go separate ways.
Where did the couple go?

It was clear from the poem that the love affair would not survive. Sadly, what the spirit had said was true.

Another example was when a young man asked which career path would be most suitable for him. He got the following answer:

There are countless charlatans,
eventually a bright star will be born;
Compassionate heart is wonderful,
giving limitless charity to the world.

This poem clearly showed that a career in the medical field would be the best choice for him. This young man eventually chose to major in medicine.

Yet another example of a young man named Hsu Cheng-Ying who was interested in Buddhism and had read some of my books. Eventually he took refuge in me. He practiced True Buddha Dharma and had a statue of Padmakumara on his altar.

On one occasion, the group of students went to Lian Hua Cheng-Ying's house to use the ouija board.

Usually, the Han-Creek Deva would descend immediately, however, this time she did not. After several attempts failed to communicate with her, they decided to move to another location.

At the new location, the Han-Creek Deva descended immediately. The group asked her why she didn't come forward when called earlier. She replied, there was a Buddha present in the previous place so I couldn't enter!?

All Buddhas are compassionate and approachable. Why can't you approach them??the group asked.

Her answer was, Buddha has many dharma protectors and they were guarding the doorway so I couldn't enter.?

Which Buddha??

Just ask Cheng-Yin about this.?

Everyone turned to Hsu Cheng-Yin with curiosity.

With shyness, Lian Hua Cheng-Yin said, recently I have read a couple of books written by Living Buddha Lian Sheng, Sheng-yen Lu. His teachings make sense to me. I then decided to take refuge in him and practice the True Buddha Dharma. I also have a statue of Padmakumara on my altar. That is the whole story!?

The group of students then asked the Han-Creek Deva, what kind of Buddha is Padmakumara??

She gave her answer using the following poem:

He is the master of esoteric teachings
Buddha King disguises his true identity
He appears to be playing in the Samsara
but he is actually salvaging the sentient beings?

They asked, since you know that he is the Buddha King, why don't you find him and take refuge in him so that you can attain a higher spiritual level?? To tell you the truth, I am not a deva. Actually my name is Red Fragrance. I had lived a sorrowful life filled with failing relationships. I committed suicide by jumping into the Han  creek. I am actually a spirit filled with hatred and anger. I feel that I am unworthy to meet the Buddha King.?

Lian Hua Cheng-Yin told me the whole story. I then performed an empowerment for the Han-Creek Deva.

Now, she is near me and studies the True Buddha Dharma.  She has benefited a lot from her cultivation. She is no longer a wandering ghost. In fact, she has become more and more divine and her wonderful character just illuminates.  She now approaches me with ease.
