Chapter 9 - The Halo Of The Guru Mantra
To begin this short article, allow me to quote from a letter:
Lately, when disciples ask for charms, I wanted them to chant guru mantra one thousand and eighty times.
The short mantra will do. The short mantra is "Om guru lian-Shen sidhi Hum"
The meaning of the mantra is "the great teacher of the universe, the Pure Buddha Land of Living Buddha Lian-Shen, may everything be accomplished."
Why must we chant this mantra?
Because when you ask for a charm, you must be very devoted. With a sincere attitude, the charm will be effective. This is a fact all of us know.
Once you chant the mantra, there will be spiritual response with Padmakumara. The Lotus Youth (Living Buddha Lian-Shen) will be able to empower and protect you, and everything you asked will be fulfilled.
There must be spiritual response in order to use charm, and chanting mantra will lead to spiritual response.
A green halo - is to bestow dharma medicine. A golden yellow halo is to increase the causation with Buddha. Those who see the halos of guru mantra will have great causation with Buddha and will get great merit.
What is the guru mantra? It is a dharani, a magnificent dharma of the guru. An enlightened person who after seeing the true self, will culminate his true experience into a mantra. Vajra guru Lian Shen's heart mantra can be one of the following: Long mantra - Om Ah Hum, Guru peh, Ah ho sasah maha, Lian-Shen sidhi Hum. Short mantra - Om Guru, Lian-Shen sidhi Hum. One word mantra - Hum.
Chanting guru mantra is:
Are we able to have spiritual response after using the charm drawn by Living Buddha Lian Shen? Let me quote you another letter.
A famous dharma teacher, who is also a Zen master, always slandered me in his dharma talk, using all kinds of sarcastic remarks.
Once some True Buddha disciples invited him to midland to give a dharma talk. He did not bother to find out who invited him in the first place. In his sermon, he ridiculed me as a medium, a tool of god and ghost, a crazy nut...
The True Buddha disciples who were listening to his sermon were out of wit. They did not know what to do with him, since he was invited. It is an insult to have listened to some one who have humiliated your root guru. The matter was not happily settled.
One day. The Zen master's mother suddenly became crazy. She consulted many doctors, but the sickness was never cured. The dharma teacher held many repentance sessions for her. Strange enough, she cried even more often and longer.
Finally someone suggested to him to seek help from Lu Sheng Yen.
He was told:" Lu Sheng Yen really has quite a few skills, I mean real skills. The charms drawn by him is very effective, all those who used his charms see miracles. All my friends were cured by Lu Sheng Yen. By words of mouth, he is very well known. Although he is in Seattle, a lot of people flew there to seek his help..."
The old Zen master was very shy about this, but to cure his mother's strange sickness, he sought help from Living Buddha Lian Shen.
After three pieces of charm. The Zen master's mother was fully recovered within a week. She can rest on her own, went for a stroll, took care of herself.
She did not cry any more, did not murmur, did not see any ghost any more...
She can eat and sleep.
Now when people ask him: "What is your view on Living Buddha Lian Shen now?"
He would answer:" This person really has some mystic power that is unable to explain. I still do not understand the reason. But he is able to cure the sickness, and that is a fact. This is a fact of miracle. I do not wish to comment on him."
A dharma master who is noted for slandering me, has changed his tone now and only says he does not understand me after I have cured his mother.
I , Living Buddha Lian-Shen wish to make a statement now:
"Those dharma masters that have slandered me, if their relatives are suffering from strange sicknesses that are unable to cure, I will wholeheartedly help them , repaying their hatred with virtue."
The Zen master's incidence reminds me of monks from the Mahayana school of Buddhism, who came to see me.
They said: "Living Buddha Lian Shen, to tell the truth, we are suffering, and we do not know how to solve the problem, we want to consult you."
I asked: "What is the matter?"
They answered: "We have learned Buddhism for a number of years now. We understand how to tame our heart, how to be pure, we are able to uphold it in the day time. At night , it has become a routine, we will ejaculate a lot after a few days. We kept quiet, for we are unable to vindicate. This is a human nature. For an ordinary person once it is full, it will overflow, it is normal. But as a cultivator, to ejaculate is ridiculous. Whether there is ejaculation, we know ourselves. The young ones will ejaculate a lot. For the older monks, maybe because of their age, the quantity is not so much."
I asked: "Why do you come here to see me?"
They answered:" We have your spiritual books. You mentioned about how the monks wet the bed. Although you did not give the solution, we have the feeling that you know how to deal with the problem. We hope you could teach us, so that we can solve our long suffering."
They also said:" From the Living Buddha's sermon, we know you are cultivating "Non-leaking".
We know there are many types of non-leaking, such as non-leaking in troubles, non-leaking in wisdom, non-leaking in material. The last one is in fact non-leaking of sperm. A male must cultivate until his sperm is not leaking, and a female without menstruation. This is to cultivate "cutting off", it is not when you are old, nature takes it course and cut you off, by then you are too old to be a cultivator.When we hear that Living Buddha Lian Shen has mastered "non-leaking", we have high hope that you will be merciful and teach us the solution."
I understand the dharma masters of Mahayana school of Buddhism never cultivate Qi, Mai and Ming Dian. They only know of the triple gem of Buddha, dharma and sangha, and Precept, tranquillity and wisdom. They do not know how to cultivate their bodies. They thought by sheer endurance, they will be able to achieve non-leaking. This is very difficult, even if the sexual organ is removed, there will still be ejaculation.
It is not uncommon to see dharma masters of Mahayana school of Buddhism wet their beds. Even for the gurus of Tantra, without many years of cultivation in Qi, Mai and Ming Dian, and without achieving certain level of response, it is a difficult task to be non-leaking.
There are four levels of Tantra.
I wanted them to take refuge in me first. They had difficulties, but finally agreed to take refuge secretly. I know their pains, once they take refuge in me, they will not be able to face their teacher. They might be ousted out from the complacent traditional Buddhism fraternity.
After their secret refuge, I taught them:
My dharma is to cultivate the physical body. The sperm that is full will be turned into Qi by fire, and the Qi will flow in the whole body.
My special skills will enable all the monks to master the act of non-leaking; and all the nuns have their menses stopped.
In the near future, I will let all the True Buddha disciples have the key to success when teaching at the Rainbow Lodge.
